Ok- so we all know that having triplets is not common. I have read that it accounts for 1 out of every 8,000 births.
We had the devil of a time with picking out crib sets. We bought a Cowboy Bear Cowgirl Bear set once we knew we were pregnant. I had fallen in love with it two years before and of course it was no longer sold. Craig's List here we came. We found one- YEA US! Then we found out it was twins. Oh Crap! What do we do now??? So, we decided to wait to find out what sex children we were having and then get another Bear crib set. Great- we now have a plan of attack. Then we found out that we were getting another EXTRA present. DUDE....... Three styles of bears in one room- probably not going to look that great. Back to the drawing board. My friend, Charlotte, suggested that we put the original crib set up on the wall and use a different color of gingham for each child- just pull the colors out of the crib set. Fantastic, that is how we ended up with light blue, light green and light pink gingham crib sets. For those of you who are wondering --- Jack is blue, Pauley is green and duh, Harper is pink.
SIDE NOTE--- you would be AMAZED at how many people ask me "Which one is the little girl?" when we tell them that we have two boys and a girl and that their names are Jack, Paul and Harper. REALLY????? You have to ask which name is for a girl? Anyway...
Clothes. Well, lets just say that laundry is not a friend of our family. If we go without doing laundry for more than one day- we are already a week behind. For some reason, I can wash it, I can dy it - Hell I can even fold it. Putting it away, that is a whole other matter entirely. If they could only invent clothes that put themselves away. Of course, people were so very generous to us when it came to the baby shower. Our sister in law that has twins herself gave us a ton of stuff. Let me tell you- when you are pregnant you do not have to but a single piece of clothing for under 9 months!!! We put them in a different outfit each day just about. Everyone always asked where the white onesies were. I replied that we had too many cute outfits that I wanted to make sure that their tiny hinies hit before they outgrew that I could not waste time on the white onesies.
There are more little odd things that you probably never thought of, but I am tapped out for tonight. The little ones were up a little early this morning.
